When consuming cold, hot, sweet, sour, or acidic foods and liquids triggers discomfort and pain in one or more teeth, it is most likely the common dental condition of tooth sensitivity. The sudden sharp pains associated with tooth sensitivity are often short lived, however they can greatly affect overall quality of life if left untreated. Thankfully, tooth sensitivity can be treated and conditions can be improved significantly.

Q: What is your job title?
A: My job title is RDH/BSDH/EFDA/OHASP (Registered Dental Hygienist/Bachelor of science in Dental Hygiene/Expanded Functions Dental Auxillary/Oral Health Access Supervision Permit)
Q: What does your work day look like?
A: Some days I clean teeth. Some days I do fillings, anesthetic or provide nitrous oxide sedation–depending on what the office needs or the doctor needs that day. I’m in the office 5 days a week and I see about 9 patients a day.
