Our Location

The Zanesville, Ohio Community

Zanesville is the county seat and the largest city in Muskingum County, located about 50 miles east of Columbus, Ohio.

In the late 1700s, Ebenezer Zane deeded the area land while cutting a route from West Virginia to Kentucky—clearing “Zane’s Trace.” In 1797, Zane’s son John McIntire founded Zanesville, developing the town that later became the state’s second capital (1810-1812). Today, Zanesville’s population is 25,465.

Located at the confluence of the Muskingum and Licking Rivers, it’s no wonder that Zanesville has become known for its many bridges. The most famous, the Y-Bridge (which spans the confluence), is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has received international attention for its unique design and has been recognized by Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Zanesville’s other most notable landmark is the Muskingum River Canal.

The Zanesville area is home to Ohio University/Zanesville and Zane State College, The Wilds (a beautiful 10,000 acre, world-renowned wildlife conservation center), The Longaberger Homestead, some of the best pottery in the nation, a vibrant arts community, vineyards, parks and many historic churches with impressive architectural design. Zanesville’s scenic landscape, great location and friendly community make it an ideal place to work and live.

Dorosti Family Dental is proud to be part of such a vibrant and friendly community! We welcome new residents–from Zanesville and well beyond its city limits.
